Montage plus 
This site is excellent for teachers looking for Internet-based projects. The projects are open to schools in any part of the world. They are categorized according to age group and subject area.  Teachers can sign up for the projects online. The site also contains a wealth of information for those interested in using ICT resources in their classrooms.  http://www.montageplus.co.uk/

Japan Festival Education Trust
An educational charity that supports those wishing to teach about Japan. They distribute educational material to schools. The site also has a lot of helpful information on school linking.http://www.jfet.org.uk

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation
This London-based charity was set up to promote understanding between Britain and Japan. The foundation offers grants in support of educational initiatives and cultural and educational exchanges.http://www.daiwa-foundation.org.uk/index.html

The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation
The Sasakawa Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit making body set up to give people in Britain and Japan the opportunity to learn about each other's countries. The foundation supports a wide range of projects including Japanese language education in UK institutions and tours by sporting and artistic bodies.  Japan UK LIVE!
Teachers can register for their students to use this bilingual site to exchange messages and post images.  It is open to school age students in Britain and Japan who exchange messages on set topics.  http://www.japanuklive.org

Visit ePALS for teacher-designed interactive projects, monitored email, instant translation, discussion boards, private chat, maps, e-cards, international weather and more. The site is multilingual and includes Japanese pages.

   

Schoolmaster.net
This commercial service provides registered members with e-mail accounts, access to secure chat rooms and discussion boards as well as web-page space.  Schools from many different countries are registered with opportunities to find partner schools and for students to search for pen friends.  There is no Japanese language support. http://www.schoolmaster.net/

The Standards Site (Schemes of Work)
This Department for Education and Employment website is used by many teachers in the UK. It contains class projects and activities in ten subject areas for primary and secondary children.
