This is an average sized school just outside of Wakayama City, which is about an hour south of Osaka. The school is 'vocational', offering mainly classes in non-academic subjects, and there is little general enthusiasm for English language learning. A small group of pupils, however, is very interested in setting up a link, and I would like to help them with that. The link i am trying to set up is for the school English Club. This involves about 5 students who are really keen to find out about what kids their age are doing in the UK. If at all possible, students of about 17 or 18 are who they want to be talking to, although I suppose 16 would be ok. I think group email and postal projects would be easier for them as their English isn't great, but I will have to talk with them and see if they want to make individual links too. If a link can be established, I would like to try and get some more of the students invloved, but this is a vocational school, and so general enthusiasm for English is low.
